What do employers, schools or airlines usually expect from an online sick leave certificate?
Most employers and schools expect a certificate that names you, gives the dates you were unfit, and shows the doctor's name and registration. Rules differ by employer, institution, airline and country.
Singapore gives a clear example. The Ministry of Manpower says employees covered by the Employment Act get paid sick leave after at least 3 months of service, up to 14 days outpatient and 60 days hospitalisation, with the full entitlement after 6 months. Where can an online sick leave certificate not be used?
An online sick leave certificate from DrCertificate cannot be submitted in India, used for legal purposes or used for insurance. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

What happens if the doctor cannot issue your online sick leave certificate?
If the doctor cannot issue your online sick leave certificate, you receive no certificate and the payment is not refunded. Doctors decline about 2% of requests.
Declines happen when details are wrong, for example when the name and ID do not match, or when the symptoms and details you share are inconsistent. A doctor will also decline when your condition needs an in person examination or tests that a chat cannot replace. In that case, visit a local clinic or hospital.
